My signature style
My freehand illustration style, attention to detail, and fresh palette make my work modern, fun, engaging, and eye-catching – but most importantly, happy. Over time, I’ve developed a consistent look that has become my signature style.
Black linear outlines, a fresh and joyful colour palette, my trademark three greens, and my three little clouds. This unique combination makes my illustrations instantly recognisable and gives them a playful, uplifting feel that my customers love.

FAQs
How do I order a bespoke illustration?
All my illustrations are hand-drawn from your photos. Simply email me or upload a picture of what you’d like illustrated, taken from your favourite angle:
- Houses – the view you love most
- Pets – their most recognisable pose
- Cars – the angle that shows off the best details
- Wedding Venues – the view most special to your day
I’ll then come back to you with a personalised quote, based on the level of detail and the time it will take to draw. If you’re unsure about the best photo or composition, I’m happy to offer suggestions.
Next, you can choose your frame size (regular or large) and frame colour. A deposit is required before I begin your illustration. Once the artwork is complete, I’ll send you a digital proof so you can check you’re 100% happy before it’s printed and framed.
NB please provide good quality photographs with the whole subject visible to ensure I can illustrate the best level of detail and accuracy.
How much does an illustration cost?
Prices vary depending on the size, level of detail, and time needed to create your piece. Once I’ve seen your photo and discussed your requirements, I’ll provide a personalised quote before any work begins. Framed portraits start at £150.
How long will it take?
Most illustrations take around 2–4 weeks depending on the level of detail and my current workload (Sept-Dec lead times can get a little longer due to demand).
If you need your artwork by a specific date, sooner that 2 weeks, just let me know and I’ll do my best to accommodate.
What are the framing options?
Regular sized frames are 38x31cm with an A4 illustration. Large sized frames are 53x43cm with an A3 illustration (these are landscape dimensions, for portrait orientation reverse the numbers).
You can choose from black or pale grey frames.
If you would prefer your artwork unframed, just mounted or in a different colour frame, just let me know and I’ll do my best to accommodate.
Can you combine elements from different photos?
Yes! If you’d like me to include something from one photo and something else from another (for example, a pet in front of a house, or a car with a favourite venue behind), I can usually combine them. Just send the photos and I’ll let you know what’s possible.
Top tips on taking photos for the illustration.
Clear, high-quality photos taken from your favourite angle work best. Photos don't have to be taken on a sunny day, the sun always shines in my illustrations!
For houses, step back far enough to capture the whole building. You can always give me written instruction of flowers that bloom, bushes that need cutting back, hanging baskets to be added, doors to be painted etc.
For pets, pick a pose that feels most “them.” Your favourite photo.
Wedding venues, choose the angle most relevant to your day. Or let me know know your venue name and I will research.
Cars & Campervans, often photograph best from the front corner taking in a good angle of the front grill and side.
Don’t worry if you’re unsure – I’m happy to help you choose the best option.
Can I collect or do you ship artwork?
Yes you can either collect in person from my home studio in Berkhamsted, HP4 1BY or
I can ship within the UK (and abroad on request). P&P is £10 for a regular frame, £15 for a large.
Do I get to see the artwork before it is printed?
Yes. I’ll email you a digital proof once the drawing is complete so you can check you’re 100% happy before it’s printed and framed. I pride myself on satisfied customers and endeavour to create artwork that is loved.
It’s absolutely fine to request a few small changes at this stage, but if revisions take over an hour or require significant extra work or a change or subject, an additional charge will apply.
Can I make amendments to the illustration?
Once I have drawn your illustration, I will email you a digital proof for approval before printing and completing your order. At this stage, small adjustments can be made free of charge.
Please note that additional charges may apply if you request:
- The addition of new or previously undiscussed details
- Significant changes to the composition or subject of the illustration
- Major revisions that require considerable reworking
Any such charges will be based on the time required for the amendments and will be agreed with you before any extra work is carried out.
How will my artwork be framed
The frame is included in the commission price. You can choose between two standard options: a regular 38 x 31 cm frame or a large 53 x 43 cm luxury box frame. Please see frame images below. Frames are available in black or pale grey as standard – I also offer white or oak on request, though I believe black and grey complement my illustrations best.
If you’d prefer something bigger, I can also have your artwork made into a large bespoke canvas, created to fit perfectly in your space.
