Berkhamsted School Library

Commission from Berkhamsted School Library to create a bespoke illustration of the Berkhamsted School Memorial Library to celebrate its centenary.

Large 5’ canvas artwork to be displayed in the Library main entrance

Berkhamsted School commissioned me to create a piece of art to celebrate 100 years of their Library whilst remembering their war dead who the building was erected to commemorate.

I created an illustration of the beautiful Memorial building, contextualising it with the Quad and Lych Gate and combining it with Poppies to honour those Berkhamstedians lost in the war who the Library was built to remember.

It's now been over 4 years since I set up my own company, Bellows Consulting. To celebrate we asked the brilliant Debbie Shrimpton to do a canvas for my office of Tower Bridge. It's a place which means a lot to us personally as was a part of London my dad loved; if you look closely you can see the company branding on the Thames Clipper, the flag and the London bus. Thank you Debbie, I absolutely love it (and it now features as the backdrop in all my work calls!). If you are thinking of a really personal gift or memento, I can't recommend her highly enough.

The Shuttleworth Collection

A collaborative project with the Shuttleworth Collection, Biggleswade to create PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) symbols of their iconic vehicles, aircraft and landmarks. These illustrated icons are to be used as visual reference learning tools depicting the key subjects of the Shuttleworth collection. The symbols were drawn with varying line width to give depth and character using the ‘Shuttleworth Green’ to keep them on brand.
